Below is a note from Crusaders Executive Director Tom Spataro
Greetings!
Now that DCI Minnesota has come and gone, and all the corps have come together in the middle of the country, I wanted to take a moment to say thanks.
To our (new) west coast fans:
Thanks for being so appreciative of the Crusaders in our appearances in California and the Pacific Northwest. Our staff and members were overwhelmed with the positive response we received everywhere we went. Thank you for being gracious hosts of the corps and taking such good care of us while we were so far away from "home." The experience for our corps has been wonderful and is one we would like to repeat. The most frequent question I've been asked by our members and staff is "when can we come back?" Stay tuned...
To our east coast fans:
Thank you for supporting the corps in our absence from our home turf. The Spring Fling, Connecticut Drums, the CYO Nationals Tribute show and dare I say the entire northeast missed the Crusaders in the first part of the season. Thank you for being a part of the events we run, and supporting the corps in our travels, enabling us to make the historic trip we have just concluded. We're making our way back east for our ONLY MA appearance this year at the East Coast Classic on August 2 and hope to see all of you there, welcoming us home. We're working on something special for August 3 also...
As I mentioned in the fall when we chose to make the trip west, serving the Pacific Division, its corps and its fans, is essential for the activity. It is our goal that other corps will be able to follow in our footsteps and have a terrific journey west with their members and fans.
The season isn't over; only the west coast tour. I hope that all our fans, new and old, east and west (and central!) will continue to support the corps in any way possible for the next three and a half weeks as we conclude our 2012 tour, and beyond.
