Ding ding ding. As the champions enter the ring -- at one win apiece -- this prizefight is certain to be epic!
Not only is the purse and bragging rights on the line but a deep sense of pride too. This year’s losing corps will have to learn, play and post on Facebook one of the winning corps signature songs.
For the third year in a row, the Boston Crusaders and the Madison Scouts are pleased to compete in The Old School Challenge. This year we welcome new comer Blue Knights. The Old School Challenge… CAGE MATCH is an 8 day fundraising blitz that pits three of drum corps’ oldest units in a head-to-head battle for financial supremacy. The corps that amasses the most donations by midnight Saturday (July 28th) wins the challenge. The losing corps will learn, play and post on Facebook one of the winning corps signature songs. So as not to interfere with the on field competitive season, the losing corps will complete this task during winter camp(s) and post accordingly. Also new this year, the Executive Directors of the losing corps will wear a shirt from the winning corps to Allentown and must complete at least one interview while wearing the shirt. During finals week, the losing Executive Directors must again wear the winning corps shirt and pose in front of the winning corps equipment or kitchen truck for a Facebook photo op.
