Crusaders Host CBEHS Guard |
On Thursday, March 10, Crusaders guard instructor
Kim Bolduc along with Color Guard and Staff of Central Bucks East High School from Doylestown, PA had a two hour clinic at the Park Plaza Castle in downtown Boston's historic Back Bay.
The Central Bucks East Band and Color Guard is visiting Boston for 4 days and site seeing at such locations as Fenway Park, The Boston Symphony Hall, John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, The Prudential Center, and Faneuil and Quincy Market. Students are experiencing the Boston Duck Tours and enjoying performances by Blue Man Group and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Students will also be dining at famous Boston locations such as Legal Seafood, Fire and Ice, and Faneuil hall Marketplace. On Thursday, the band attended a clinic with Doug Yeo, Trombonist for the Boston Symphony Orchestra while the color guard had a clinic with Kim Bolduc of the Boston Crusaders at the beautiful and historical Castle landmark owned by the Park Plaza Hotel and Towers.
"It was such a pleasure to work with the color guard members of Central Bucks East right in the heart of Boston," said Bolduc. "Introducing this young group to the world of drum corps and the Boston Crusaders, while helping them hone in on their skills and adding to their vocabulary, made for a fantastic day of color guard for everyone involved. I hope that these delightful and spirited girls can take their new knowledge home with them as they prepare for their next marching band season in the fall of 2011. I wish them the best of luck!"
