Here's a true blue Crusader romance from the early 2000s:
 Mike Corrigan of B.A.C. Horn Doctor and Sara Farnham first met in the corps. Mike was in the mellophone section and Sara was in the guard. They became engaged when Mike proposed to Sara during the retreat at Finals in Buffalo, NY in 2001. Mike’s proposal was featured on the Jumbotron at Finals and later in Drum Corps World magazine. Two years later, Mike and Sara were married at the Manning Bowl in Lynn on the morning of the East Coast Classic, July 31, 2003. A brass ensemble of the Boston Crusaders performed “The Prayer," “Giant," and “Conquest” at the ceremony.
